Where grief meets grace and healing begins

I’m Deevala (Duh-Vay-La), a multi-passionate wellness mentor, media and youth pastor, adoptive mama, and fierce advocate for hormone healing and hope.
But more than titles, I’m a woman who’s walked through fire and lived to tell the story.

My Story

Hi friend! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Deevala (Duh-Vay-La) a multi-passionate wife, wellness mentor, certified health and fitness coach, media and youth pastor, and fierce advocate for Jesus, fitness, grief, healing, and hope. I am also an adoptive mama because of God’s plan and foster care.

But more than titles, I’m a woman who’s walked through fire and lived to tell the story.

After years of unexplained miscarriages(10 gut-wrenching losses), trauma, and health challenges, I was told I may never be able to carry a child. I discovered I had MTHFR and an autoimmune condition, and the path to healing was not simple. But it is possible, I fully believe so because God is leading. God led me to a more natural, non-toxic approach to wellness, one that aligned with His design for our bodies and stewarding our temples well. But I am human and I am still figuring it out and trying my best to pay my knowledge forward.

That healing journey eventually led me to a community of women walking the same road, and a calling to speak hope into the hearts of others. Through my work, I now help women ditch hormone disruptors, detox from within, and discover joy again, one simple swap, one prayer, one deep breath, or one workout at a time.

I believe you were made for more… more peace, more freedom, more joy, more LIFE.
Whether you’re here for wellness tips, grief, faith encouragement, or a fresh start, you’re seen, you’re welcome, and you’re never alone here.

Let’s walk this journey together, rooted in grace, filled with purpose, and breathing in His peace.

Why “Breathe Wellness”?

Genesis 2:7 (NIV)“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”
→ God’s breath is what gave us life. You’re not just a mistake or broken—you were breathed into by the living God.

Ezekiel 37:5-6 (NIV)“This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life… Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
→ Even when you feel dead inside—emotionally, spiritually—He can breathe life into your dry bones.

I am NOTHING without HIS breath inside of me. I lack everything, I am dry bones. It is HIS breath that brings me to life and provides peace and joy beyond my understanding. And He can and will do the same for you if you want Him to.

just BREATHE hit me after my brother was diagnosed with stage 4 heart failure. He was MY PERSON. & I’ll never ever forget the fear in his voice as we sat there and cried together. For the first time in my life, I truly could not breathe and I had physically remind myself to breathe. That day my grief journey began. I was cooking him noodles later that week and on his stove was the sign “just breathe.” I knew I was NOTHING without the breath of God. I knew this next season of life was about to try to take me OUT and I knew my focus had to remain on the breath of God in my lungs.

3 years later, I got the worst phone call of my life and I found myself again without breath in my lungs. Each day now I have to remind myself to breathe again. Just like there is “BC” & “AD” to symbolize before Christ and after death, I now know why. Because when you lose the first person on this planet that you were closest to, your first “peace on earth” human, your bodyguard, your best friend, your hero, your testimony…. everything changes, especially you. There is a definite line in the sand and the person AD is no longer the same as the person BC.

So, walk with me as I navigate the new after death “normal.” Where Jesus is first and I am choosing to RISE above, break generational curses, and bring others along with me.

XO, friend!

Burning Bush Moment

Each Monday, when we have the opportunity to minister alongside other women from our church to the ladies in our county jail, we get to lean into powerful, real, raw, and ugly conversations. This week, we talked about what it means to have a ‘burning bush moment,’ and one of the ladies admitted she feels…

Jet Airplane: Christopher

This past week I traveled to Chicago for a work conference. It was busy, full of new faces, long sessions, and the kind of energy that a big city always carries. From the outside, it was just another trip. But for me, travel always carries something deeper now, it brings both the ache of loss…
